Setting the Standard for Inclusion & Fair Play

AusCaliCarnivale 2025 (ACC25) has been crafted as a dynamic interim competition, bringing our community together while ACF undertook a comprehensive review of national competition structures.  The ACC25 Safeguarding & Inclusion guidelines lay the groundwork for a stronger, more connected future, forming a foundation for the upcoming National Competition & Event Framework (NCEF)—our bold vision for creating National Competition Events that enhance consistency, accessibility, and fairness across all levels of participation.

What Do These Guidelines Cover?

This framework outlines key principles that shape the future of our sport, including:
Safeguarding & Integrity – Protecting the well-being of every participant
Diversity & Equitable Participation – Championing fairness across all levels
Cultural Respect – Honoring our diverse community
Accessibility & Inclusivity – Breaking down barriers for broader engagement.

The guidelines introduce protocols covering:

  • Commitment to Cultural Respect
  • Integrity & Safeguarding Requirements
  • Inclusive Language Guidelines
  • Dressing Room & Changing Facilities
  • Photography & Recording Restrictions
  • Social Media Guidelines
  • Back-of-House Protocols for Non-Participating Children
  • Reporting Pathways.

ACC25 – Balancing Inclusion & Competitive Integrity

ACF understands the unique challenges faced by different States when competing at ACC25 —each with its own competition structures and resource limitations. To ensure maximum participation while upholding the highest standards, careful rule adjustments have been made for ACC25, with transparent collaboration between Member States guiding the process.  Looking to the Future – The introduction of the NCEF will usher in a new era of national competition, with goals to:
🔹 Standardize rules for clarity and fairness
🔹 Expand participation opportunities across Australia
🔹 Strengthen accessibility & inclusivity for all competitors.

Join Us in Shaping the Future!

With ACC25 paving the way and – the NCEF on the horizon – ACF is dedicated to creating a sport that reflects the evolving needs of our community—one that welcomes MORE PEOPLE, in MORE WAYS, for CALISTHENICS EVERYWHERE!
