NCEF Lead Appointment

ACF Appoints National Competition & Events Framework Lead

The Australian Calisthenic Federation (ACF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry Sargent as Lead of the National Competition & Events Framework (NCEF), effective 10 April 2026.

The NCEF is a cornerstone initiative of the Elevate 28! Strategic Plan, designed to deliver nationally aligned competition structures, governance clarity and consistent event standards across Australia.

Following an extensive national application and selection process, Kerry has been appointed to lead the implementation phase of the NCEF and chair the NCEF Steering Committee as the framework transitions from development into national delivery. Kerry will complete her current Director term and formally step down from the ACF Board at the Annual General Meeting before commencing the NCEF Lead role on 10 April 2026.

Kerry brings more than four decades of involvement in calisthenics across club, state and national levels, including serving as ACF National Rules Convenor for ten years and as Cali ACT Director of Competitions. She has led grading reform, chaired National Rules Forums, modernised competition systems and contributed significantly to the development of the NCEF itself. Her experience spans both strategic governance and practical competition delivery, positioning her strongly to guide national implementation.

The ACF looks forward to Kerry leading this next phase of national competition reform and supporting a more aligned, consistent and sustainable framework for the future of calisthenics in Australia.

Role of the NCEF Lead

The NCEF Lead provides strategic oversight of national competition alignment, governance leadership of the NCEF Steering Committee, and coordination of the Heads of Competition portfolios.

Kerry will work closely with the National Operations Manager, Megan Taylor, and Di Treagus, Head of Competition – Masters, to support nationally consistent, high-quality event delivery under the NCEF structure.

Heads of Competition Applications Extended

As part of building out the new national competition structure, applications for Heads of Competition roles have been extended for a further two weeks from today.

These positions will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the NCEF and working collaboratively within the national competition team to deliver the remaining cornerstone events – National Titles, National Championships & Club Carnival.

Updated closing date: Monday 16 March 2026
