ACF Announces National Commitment to Child Safety.

Calisthenics with Integrity: Protection for our community and our future.
This is more than a motto — it is the foundation of our approach to safeguarding every child, every team, and every club involved in Calisthenics across Australia.
The adopted Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy has been implemented and is a key pillar of the ACF’s broader National Integrity Framework, designed to uphold the highest standards of safety, respect, and accountability in our sport.
“This framework establishes a solid commitment to the safety of children and young people in Calisthenics,” said Jess Wahlstrom, National Integrity Framework Portfolio, “With such a high percentage of our participants being children, it is critical that we provide strong protections, clear expectations, and high-quality training for all coaches, volunteers, and officials. This is essential for the future of our sport.”
The Safeguarding Policy is underpinned by four key elements:
- Unwavering Commitment to Child Safety
- Inclusive and Respectful Environments
- Clear Expectations and Comprehensive Training
- Engagement, Transparency, and Reporting
This is an important step forward for Calisthenics in Australia – ensuring that all young people feel safe, empowered, and supported as they participate in our sport.
